This polyester eyelet material is knitted with recycles polyester. Recycled polyester is also known as RPET, with the “R” standing for recycled and the ”PET” for polyethylene terephthalate. Its use is particularly popular for sportswear, loungewear, and outdoor garments. Recycled polyester fabric is made of recycled plastic water bottles, textile waste, and even old fishing nets which is eco friendly.
This recycled polyester eyelet material is mostly used for sportswear because of its increased durability and moisture-wicking properties. It is lightweight and isn’t the softest type of jersey fabric, but it has a smooth feel. It is cheaper than other jersey fabrics and comes in a wide range of color choices.
